I rarely eat out when I am in town but I just had the best lunch at Mim’s Cafe in Saint Anthony Park – Saint Paul, MN! If you are ever in the mood for some authentic middle eastern cuisine, made to order (from scratch) with wholesome, fresh ingredients – be sure to check this place out! I especially love that the Shawarma is gluten free (which is not often the case at other restaurants) and that fresh herbs and spices are used to create the magic in these delicious dishes rather than salt! Score!
This unassuming, yet amazing restaurant is nestled away in a building (with a few other retailers) on the corner of Cleveland and Buford Avenue – just west of the University of Minnesota -Saint Paul Campus. The menu is simple, the restaurant dining area is simple, the ingredients are simple, but the quality, freshness and flavor is amazing! The portion sizes are perfect, the service is great, and the prices are reasonable too. Oh yea, and you HAVE to try the Falafel!
This restaurant is not only gluten free friendly but dairy free, vegan and vegetarian friendly as well!
Thank you Majed and staff for the most delicious and nutritious meal ever!
Mim’s Cafe is currently open Monday – Friday from 11am – 9pm (for Dine-In or CarryOut)
They are located at 1435 Cleveland Avenue North, St. Paul, MN 55108
P.S. If you do decide to check this restaurant out, please tell my Mim’s friends hi for me!
